Ryuhei Okada is a visual artist based in Okinawa, Japan, working primarily in video and photography to explore themes of traditional performing arts and travel.
Ryuhei Okada is a visual artist based in Okinawa, Japan, working primarily in video and photography to explore themes of traditional performing arts and travel.
Originally from Kochi on Shikoku Island, Okada received his BA in Film Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. His photography work has been featured in a group exhibition in Okinawa held with other international photographers living on the island. In filmmaking, he has collaborated with award-winning international filmmakers and recently worked in Sweden for an art project involving artists in different fields.

高知県出身。米国カリフォルニア大学バークレー校で映画を学ぶ。沖縄在住の海外・県外出身の写真家とともにグループ展を開催し、写真作品を展示。映像制作では、海外の映画制作者らとコラボレーション、最近ではスウェーデンでのアートプロジェクトに参加、様々な分野のアーティストと共に舞台制作。
